in addition to the led bead light source, the led display screen also uses many other supporting parts, such as circuit board, plastic shell, switching power supply, connectors, chassis and so on. any part of the quality problems may lead to the decrease of the life of the screen. therefore, the lifetime of the display screen is determined by the lifetime of the key component with short lifetime. for example, led, switching power supply and metal shell are selected according to 8-year standard, and the protective performance of pcb can only support its work for 3 years. after 3 years, because of rust, it will be damaged, so we can only get a 7-year-old display screen.
iii. the influence of production technology on products
how the production process of led display products determines the fatigue resistance. the anti-fatigue performance of the module manufactured by the inferior three-proof treatment process is difficult to guarantee. when the temperature and humidity change, cracks will appear on the protective surface of the circuit board, leading to the decline of the protective performance.
therefore, the production process of led display screen is also the key factor to determine the lifetime of the display screen. the production technologies involved in the production of display screen include: storage and pretreatment of components, over-furnace welding, three-proof treatment, waterproof and sealing technology, etc. the validity of the process is related to material selection, proportion, parameter control and operator’s quality. for the largest led display manufacturers, the accumulation of experience is very important. a factory with many years of experience will control the production process more effectively.
iv. the influence of the working environment of the display
because of different uses, the working conditions of the display screen vary greatly. from the environmental point of view, the indoor temperature difference is small, no rain, snow and ultraviolet radiation; the outdoor temperature difference can reach 70 degrees, plus wind, sun and rain. the bad environment will aggravate the aging of the display screen, and the working environment is an important factor affecting the life of the display screen.
in a sense, the lifetime of the led determines the lifetime of the display screen. the lifetime of led is usually the time when the luminous intensity decreases to 50% of the initial value. as a semiconductor material, led has a lifetime of 100,000 hours, but it is evaluated under ideal conditions. but it can not be achieved in actual use.
the lifetime of led beads determines the lifetime of the display screen, not that the lifetime of led beads equals the lifetime of the display screen. when the display screen is working, not every led is working at full load all the time. when the video program is playing normally, the lifetime of the led display screen should be about 8 times of the lifetime of the led beads. when the led beads are working at low current, the lifetime of the led display screen can be longer.
